SBEM
Design Services Ltd has targeted itself to support contractors, clients,
builders, architects in achieving a sustainable development as well as protecting
the environment and energy resources.
We are registered on the BRE Red Book Live as SBEM competent persons under Regulation 17D of part L2A of the Building regulations. We also use Designbuilder to test our results in house to ensure quality control on our data.
It is important to note that the Building Regulations recommend only competent persons undertake this calculation, and other companies who are not registered who undertake this calculation can be rejected by Building Control.

As the new regulations require the pressure testing of buildings, we are able to arrange this service too! Call for further details.
A pressure test is normally required to measure the standard or quality of construction by identifying unacceptable air leakage locations. These leakage areas can significantly effect the energy performance of the building and the worsen the BER of the design . As remedial work is extremely costly, proper attention to air tightness standards during design and construction is becoming ever more important.

Breaking news - BREEAM In Use Auditor and BREEAM Commercial Assessments
We can now support property managers and developers in trying to achieve a high 'In Use' ratings for existing properties. Taking into account information about the builiding 'as is' then highlighting areas of improvement, you will be able to demonstrate to customer, clients etc, the company seriously considers the enviromental impact of your assets and organisation.
The process is not too onerous, but will require some thought into the buildings operation to achieve higher ratings.
We also can provide BREEAM Retail, Offices and Industrial assesments for your buildings. The BREEAM assessment rating is an internationally, recognised rating that can add prestige to your building. Energy Performance Certificates (Non-domestic)
Under the current time table for epcs, all non domestic buildings are to have an Energy Performance Certificate provided by an accedited agent for any property that is constructed or leased.
Due to our recent acceptance on the scheme run by the BRE we are pleased to announce that we can provide upto Level 4 Energy Performance Certificates for non domestic property where required.

Swept Path Analysis
SBEM Design Services Ltd can also help Planners, Architects, Highways Engineers etc on reviewing turning circles, radii, turning heads and general vehicle movement swept path analysis. Local Authorities are being more demanding on Planning Applications and vehicle movements by HGV are being more of a concern.
If you need a swept path anaysis showing the actual movement of the vehicle on your plan...look no further than SBEM Design Services Ltd. We use Autocad based software to plot and animate the project were necessary.
